Stuart Rivers FRICS
Stuart Rivers is a well respected figure within the Capital Allowance arena – regularly delivering lectures and seminars on Capital Allowances to accountants, lawyers, surveyors and various regions of the Chartered Institute of Tax.
Stuart qualified as a Chartered Quantity Surveyor (RICS) in 1978 and became a Fellow in 1998. He previously worked for major national surveying practices, acting for many leading companies before forming Stuart Rivers Associates in 1993.
Today Stuart’s role is to develop and manage the business whilst applying his technical abilities to many intricate Capital Allowance issues.
Gary Wrench MSc, BSc (Honours) FRICS
Gary has an in-depth expertise of all aspects of Capital Allowances. He is responsible for managing the client caseload, including the preparation of Capital Allowance claims and the negotiation and agreement of claims, where required, with HMRC.
Gary is a Fellow of RICS, having qualified as a Chartered Quantity Surveyor in 1984 and also holds an MSc in Construction Law and Arbitration.
Before joining Stuart Rivers Associates in 1999, Gary worked in the UK and overseas for an international contractor as well as in private practice. Gary became a Partner at Stuart Rivers Associates in 2004.
After working in industry for many years as a Financial Controller, Andrew moved into professional services to develop IT and computing services for a local accounting practice before joining Stuart Rivers Associates.
Today, Andrew is responsible for Stuart Rivers Associates’ financial and IT systems, supporting the continued development of the company.
Jamie Wheldon LLB (Honours) MRICS
Jamie is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a former Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He was a Director of Savills before moving into banking. He brings over twenty years' experience of property and finance to his role as Partner at Stuart Rivers Associates.
Jamie joined Stuart Rivers Associates in 2015 and is involved in all aspects of our business. His valuation skills compliment those of our Chartered Quantity Surveyors when preparing claims for HMRC and he has introduced a number of private clients, commercial property investors and developers to our services.
Carole has many years’ experience in all aspects of administration. She is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the practice. As a Partner she is also a key decision maker in Stuart Rivers Associates’ strategy.
